Wrisk secures £12M with the backing of Mundi Ventures
Mundi Ventures is pleased to announce its investment in Wrisk, the embedded insurance platform purpose-built for the automotive sector, as part of their £12 million Series B funding round. The round was co-led by Mundi Ventures and Opera Tech Ventures, with continued support from existing investors QBN and Volution.
Wrisk has built a strong position in embedded, branded, data-driven insurance solutions for leading automotive OEMs, powering programmes for brands like BMW, MINI, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover and Stellantis. Their platform delivers seamless, integrated insurance experiences across the entire vehicle ownership lifecycle — from quote and bind to renewal and claims — embedded directly into the customer journey.
Throughout its trajectory, Wrisk has issued over 228,000 policies exclusively in the UK and is backed by world-class capacity providers, including Allianz, Helvetia, and ERS — further reinforcing the strength and resilience of its platform and underwriting partnerships. The Company’s focus has been instrumental to achieving market leading status where they have developed a comprehensive set of platform, data and intermediary capabilities that meet the evolving needs of a sector undergoing significant transformation.
With this new capital, Wrisk will accelerate its European expansion, targeting key automotive markets such as Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain, where embedded insurance solutions are rapidly gaining traction within a £3.4 billion market opportunity. The company will further enhance its data analytics and AI capabilities to improve risk segmentation and expand its product offering and benefits for its automotive OEM partners — enabling them to deliver smarter, more flexible, and value-driven insurance solutions to their customers. This funding round positions Wrisk to capitalise on the growing demand for seamless, digital-first insurance products embedded directly into the automotive customer experience, from vehicle purchase to renewals and claims management.
